• 40 Hi-8 or Digital 8mm Tapes (Sony Camcorders)
• 60 Mini-DV Tapes

This is an estimated cost before shipping and tax. You will only be billed for actual hours of tape digitized, at a minimum charge of $7.00 per tape.

StashDisc DataDVDs are free.  They won't play in your set top DVD player like movies will; you must have a DVD-ROM drive on your computer.  They're another way to archive video files for safe-keeping and adding to stashBox later.  When you insert a stashDisc into your DVD-ROM, you can browse its contents as you would any drive/folder on your computer.

You will receive a LaCie or Western Digital External Drive with USB 2.0 connectivity. StashSpace.com reserves the right to substitute a similar capacity drive of a different manufacture at its sole discretion. When you connect a external to your computer with a USB cable, you can browse its contents as you would any drive/folder on your computer.

Note: We recommend you select a larger drive now, in case you want to add videos to it later.

If you would like a DVD copy for your DVD player (in addition to having them digitally stored on other media), check the "Send Me a DVD?" box next to those tapes.  The price is $15.00 per 2-hour DVD and they come in a clamshell-style DVD case.  Be sure to read our Encoding Terms & Conditions for more information.

The price for encoding each videotape is $7 per 60 minutes in one-minute increments, $7 min. per tape.  The value on this order form is just an estimate.  You will only be charged for the actual length of tape encoded, $7 min. per tape.  If you check the DVD option for a videotape, the price includes $15.00 for each DVD needed, depending on the tape length.

Enter an estimate for the length of each tape in minutes.  You will only be charged for the actual length encoded.  The average length of recorded footage on most videotapes is 75 minutes.  However, some videotapes can record up to 360 or 480 minutes, depending on the type and recording speed.

Enter a name for each videotape on every line provided.  For example, Family Movies 1992-1993.  If you order DVDs for your DVD player, these becomes movie names on your DVDs.
